Spectrum Naturist Club

CLUB RULES

Last Updated 12 November 2006

We try to keep our rules to a minimum but in the interest of good manners and common sense you are advised that:

The club will respect your privacy and will not divulge information about your membership to non-naturist groups or individuals unless required to do so by law. Please respect the privacy of other members by not giving out details of names, addresses, telephone numbers or other naturist events you may hear about. There is nothing to be ashamed of in naturism but some members prefer to keep this aspect of their lives to themselves. The club telephone number may be given for reference or enquiry. If in doubt, consult a member of the club committee, or email us.

Spectrum reserves the right to refuse admission and is under no obligation to give reasons. Applicants who provide false information or who fail to disclose material information must expect to be refused membership or have their membership withdrawn. Anyone whose behaviour is not appropriate to a family naturist environment will be asked to leave.

Children are welcome at our club. Spectrum aims to follow British Naturism's Child Protection Policies and has appointed Child Protection Officers for that purpose. The police will be informed of any incidents involving the abuse or potential abuse of a child. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you intend to bring to the club children to whom you are neither parent nor legal guardian, you will need to obtain the written consent of the parents and the committee will need to be satisfied that the parents understand that Spectrum is a naturist club. Parents and guardians must take responsibility for their children at all our events.

Spectrum recognises the diversity that exists now in the make up of family groups and partnerships. Unlike some other clubs we do not insist that a married applicant wishing to join alone obtains the written consent of his or her spouse. However, the club will not collude in the deception of a partner, married or not, nor between parents of children where those parents are not joint members of the club.

Members and visitors must observe the swimming pool rules. In particular, appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn in the gym. Children under 16 must not use the gym equipment and adults should know how to use the equipment safely. Children under the age of 8 years must be accompanied by an adult in the water. All members and visitors must obey the instructions of the pool staff. Two lifeguards employed by the pool are on duty on the poolside for the hour that the pool is available to members. They are not allowed to leave the poolside during this time so members and visitors attending need to be aware that they will not normally be able to leave the venue before 7.30pm, when the pool staff can leave the pool area to unlock the door.

Please remember always to sit on a towel in the sauna, steam and lounge (bring a small one to sit on and a larger one to dry yourself).

No smoking please.
